1.5 Mount
Single-handed string tricks. One yoyo, usually one that does NOT come back on a tug. You land it on strings and move it through different shapes. This is the biggest modern style.
How to do it
- Throw a breakaway.
- Let the string hit your other index finger.
- Instead of landing in a trapeze, let the yoyo keep going under and around.
- Stick out your throw hand index finger to catch the string.
- Land the yoyo on the string between your hands. The strings will be crossed.
Tips
It feels like a trapeze that went too far. Keep the yoyo's spin facing the same direction the whole time.
The physics
The crossed strings can push on the yoyo's sides if it isn't centered, so you have to stay lined up.
