Boingy-Boing
Single-handed string tricks. One yoyo, usually one that does NOT come back on a tug. You land it on strings and move it through different shapes. This is the biggest modern style.
How to do it
- Get into a front mount, usually Split Bottom.
- Open the strings so they're stacked vertically.
- Bounce the yoyo up and down between two strings by moving your hands in a steady rhythm.
- Keep the yoyo facing the right way.
- Drop back into the mount when you're done.
Tips
The bounces come from your hands, not from how you threw. Keep them small and even.
The physics
Your hands are pumping energy into the yoyo at the right moment, like pushing a kid on a swing.
