Iron Whip
Single-handed string tricks. One yoyo, usually one that does NOT come back on a tug. You land it on strings and move it through different shapes. This is the biggest modern style.
How to do it
- Yoyo is sleeping below.
- Make a fast loop of slack string with one of your hands.
- Whip the loop into the yoyo's gap from the side.
- Catch into a mount.
- Tighten everything up.
Tips
Use a quick, tight wrist flick. Big floppy loops won't work.
The physics
The loop's speed and timing are everything. The gap on the yoyo only catches the loop if it lines up perfectly.
