Pop N Fresh
Single-handed string tricks. One yoyo, usually one that does NOT come back on a tug. You land it on strings and move it through different shapes. This is the biggest modern style.
How to do it
- Start from a trapeze or similar mount.
- Pop the yoyo straight up.
- Move or cross your hands while the yoyo is in the air.
- Catch it on a different string.
- Repeat through a series of hops.
Tips
Pop straight UP, not forward. Have the catching string ready before the yoyo comes down.
The physics
While the yoyo is in the air it's still spinning, like a flying coin. You move the strings around so it lands somewhere new.
