Split Bottom Mount
Single-handed string tricks. One yoyo, usually one that does NOT come back on a tug. You land it on strings and move it through different shapes. This is the biggest modern style.
How to do it
- Throw a sleeper.
- Stick your other index finger into the string in front.
- Swing the yoyo forward and over your finger.
- Catch the string with your throw hand index finger to open up the formation.
- Land the yoyo on the bottom middle string.
Tips
This is the starting point for tricks like Barrel Rolls and Mach 5.
The physics
The string splits into different sections, each with its own pull. As long as everything is even, the yoyo stays balanced.
